2023-2024 AED Member Point Requirements

Meetings
- 8 points total required
- Each meeting = 2 points
- 6 points total required
- Each hour of volunteering = 2 points
- 2 points of which must be AED Events
- Rest of points may come from outside volunteering events
- Maximum of 12 points may be achieved
- 2 point total required
- One fundraiser is 1 point
- 6 points total required
- Each BIG social event (hayride, formal, chicago trip, bar crawl) offers 2 points, while each SMALL social event (everything else) offers 1 point

- All Members MUST attend at least 2 rush events
- If you meet rush requirements, each additional rush event you attend will go towards the other point requirements
- Each event counts towards general member requirements as well

In order to comply with the requirements of the AED National Committee, the following requirements are implemented for Inducted Members and Freshman Representatives.
Inducted Member Requirements
- Fill out new member application when it is released August 1st
- 3.2 cumulative GPA and science GPA
- At least three semesters of University Classes
- Yearly Chapter Dues TBD
- Attendance for
- at least one meeting per month
- at least one AED volunteer event per semester
- at least one social event per semester
- Induction Banquet
- Participation in at least one fundraiser per semester
- Volunteering attendance or donation/contribution
- $75.00 National Induction Fee (One-Time Fee)
- 6 volunteering points per semester
- 18 points for fall semester, spring is TBD
Pledge Class Requirements
* Freshman/First-Year students are offered the opportunity to become Freshman Representatives and receive induction into the National Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society in the spring of their second year, as per AED National Committee guidelines.
* Freshman Representatives are Members of the MSU's Gamma Chapter of AED and have all the responsibilities of an Inducted Member. If the member fulfills a full academic year of responsibilities, they are guaranteed to be inducted the following year.
* As such, Freshman Representatives spots are competitive and will be given to students that demonstrate commitment and passion for AED during the recruitment process in the Fall.

- Initial Entrance Fee TBD
- Attendance for
- at least one meeting per month

Honorary Membership
- Honorary membership may be given to educational and/or professional practitioners whom the chapter wishes to honor with AED membership for their services and contribution to AED and health preprofessional education at each chapter’s discretion.
